Spicy Pan-Seared Salmon, featuring our Dark & Smoky BBQ Rub. This Rub is a smoky firestorm that combines Chipotle, Ancho, Habanero, Smoked Ghost Pepper, Toasted Onion, Roasted Garlic, Smoked Paprika, and Thyme. We love using it on a ton of different proteins, but this salmon might be tastiest and easiest application.
Enjoy!

Ingredients
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp Flatiron Pepper - Dark&Smoky BBQ Rub
1 Salmon filet
Directions
Cover Salmon fillet generously with BBQ Rub (be careful, this rub is hot, so be light handed if you’re looking for a more mild heat).
Heat skillet on high (we like using a nice cast iron) and place Salmon into the pan skin side down. Let sear for 1-3 minutes depending on thickness of fillet.
While skin side is still down, cover fillet with a few tablespoons of soy sauce, and a teaspoon of honey
Carefully flip fillet over so the side covered in RUB is against the hot pan. Let sear for 2-5 minutes or until cooked through. We like to top this off with some fresh scallions. Enjoy! Mike & Matt

No honey in the pantry substituted real maple syrup and it was wonderful.
